My counsellor once said that it is good for one’s soul to start each day by writing something – don’t think about it, just let your pen flow. Naturally, I ignored this because imagine actually doing that. However, I have recently discovered that this is in fact not a terrible suggestion and surprisingly quite a nice activity – especially when you laugh at your own jokes and off the cuff witty remarks (you can tell that this will be a hoot already).
In one attempt to sort of actually do this, I had started making YouTube videos, but this is problematic because it takes ages and my brain wants to write more things than I can be bothered to record/find fitting footage for. So here instead is a blog that I will be contributing to as and when I feel like doing so.
Short summary of me: my name is George and I recently completed a PhD in gravitational physics during which my mum died and the world basically ended. In an attempt to grab life by the horns, I decided to move onto a narrowboat and that is basically my whole personality now (with the occasional piercing bit of judgement towards science sceptics).
