Paintings

Just for fun, here is a compilation of paintings I have completed since 2019, starting with the more recent stuff.

‘Letting go’. A painting I did in October 2025 based on a moment in April 2021.
September 2025. My most up to date portrait. I was experimenting with lighting.
October 2025. Not done much painting of the human form. Without a model, I had to use my own body.
September 2025. Me from back when I was cute.
October 2025. This was a quick one hour jobby. Rosie, Joe and Tony on Worthing beach on mum’s first heavenly birthday.
Summer 2025. Mum and I having a paddle. I’m not mad about the painting, but I like the moment.
July 2025. My friend Kusiy. The last animal my right eye saw.

Here is the stuff from a few years ago…

A kingfisher. Winter 2023.
2020-21. Kicking things off with a macaw.
2021. This is a monkey. He has a banana. Lucky boy.

2020. Lion.

2021. I knew this monkey. His name was Biton.

2020. I love dogs. They’re generally of very pure heart. Kind souls. I do not like this dog. Despite looking quite cute here, this dog is an arse.
2020. Douglas sporting a painting of a succulent. This succulent was one of my favourites, but perished in lockdown.
2024. Sophia, Billy and Hector.

2021. Mum.
2018 & 2020. Self portraits one year apart. Guess which one came second…

Time for the abstract stuff I did back in 2019-20. This didn’t look great at the time and still doesn’t.

2019. Lot going on here. Scratchy canvas. 3D hand. So much to process.

2019. Van Gogh cut his ear off. I scratched my eyes out, but only in picture form. Unlike him, I am not a method painter.

2019-21. This is my old neighbour Barry. I found him fascinating and rather enjoyed listening to him. Keeping with history, I only paint the greats.

2019. Well this is just me with a splodge.

2019. Freddie Mercury. A painting for my mum’s 50th.

2019. David Bowie. Kind of goofed around with three colours, but ended up fundamentally happy.
